Missing the Ocean

Don't get me wrong, I love Boone! I mean in what other town can you find such unique places and people along with some of the most beautiful scenery ever? That being said, I'm missing my home away from home pretty bad today! I miss the salty air and the sound of the waves rolling in with each whisp of cool, crisp wind blowing my hair. I went to school in Surfside Beach, SC for 2 years and then transferred here to Appalachian so that I could persue my dream to study and become a Speech-LanguagePathologist. I will always hold a special place in my heart for the beach but for now I'll make the best of snow and ice and the salt on the roads because that's as close to the "Salt Life" that I'm going to get for a while. 

Life of a Clumsy Blonde

It's Wednesday afternoon, 5:00 pm and I'm back on Netflix watching Law and Order. I got my work done early in the week except for studying for my Spanish exam next week (which I'm completely avoiding at all cost.) I have always found the Spanish language pretty fun to learn but I'm not a huge fan of conjugations and grammar, rather I enjoy learning words so that I can understand people who are different than me. On a random note, I just wiped out in the living room floor. Note to all: DO NOT WEAR SOCKS ON HARD WOOD FLOORS! I have a huge bruise on my hip and on my knee because I chose to wear socks with no grip. Everyone that knows me knows that I am such a clumsy person, but this is really getting out of hand! At this rate, by 40 years old, I'm gonna be in a wheel chair.

I'm nervous for her

So my best friend in the whole entire universe just went out on a date tonight with our neighbor. So many things are running through my head right now and I'm so so nervous for her! I'm thinking about setting out all the kitchen knives on the counter so that when they get back I can make sure he knows that if he hurts her I'll take care of him myself. (I'm just kidding) (but not really) I, myself, am on a date with Law and Order and a bowl of spaghettiO's and I'm happy as could be. Just knocked out a whole bunch of school work and I plan on having a cold one and relaxing for the rest of the night. 

First Ever Blog Post

So, this is the first blog I've ever done and I am hoping that I am doing this correctly. I am enjoying this class so far, though I am a little nervous about formatting and annotated bibliographies. I appreciate this assignment because I think it will be interesting to read everyone's stories about their daily life. Today is the first day in quite a few days that the sun is shining and ice is finally melting on the ground so I have found myself smiling today. I hope to be able to have an enjoyable week and I hope I don’t forget anything to turn in!
